Job Description

The Sealed Air Finance Internship Program is a great way to jumpstart your career. Interns will work in one of a number of key areas in Sealed Air’s global finance team, based in Charlotte, North Carolina, which could include:

• Corporate Treasury

• Global Business Services

• Supply Chain Finance

• Internal Audit

• Corporate Taxation

• Credit and Collections

• Financial Planning and Analysis

• Corporate Control

• Business Unit Finance

 

As a program participant, you will be a fully contributing member of Sealed Air’s global Finance team for the summer. Your responsibilities will include a substantive business project assignment, accountable to a senior leader within the Finance team. In addition to your role within Finance, our interns contribute to the local community over the summer.

Responsibilities

Interns will become a full time member of our Finance team for the duration of their internship. Your responsibilities may include:

 

• Organizing and participating in team meetings

• Planning, leading and executing project work

• Prepare reports and presenting results to management

• Analyze and audit business results, processes and performance

• Actively develop and drive improvement recommendations based on your project or responsibility area

• Liaise with internal and external stakeholders

• Assess internal controls, for example using COSO and Sarbanes Oxley frameworks

• Deliver a final presentation to the Finance Leadership team covering your project and experience

• Understand and apply policies, procedures and regulations

Qualifications

Required qualifications:

• Top candidates will have completed 2-3 years of an undergraduate course in finance, accounting, economics, business, or related concentration

• GPA of 3.0 or higher

 

Preferred qualifications:

• Strong technical skills with Excel and Word

• Highly motivated self-starter, able to lead initiatives as well as contribute as a team member

• Strong analytical skills

• Sense of urgency while maintaining attention to detail and quality.

• Effective prioritization and project management skills.

• Ability to excel in a multi-cultural, fast paced environment.

• Ability to work in the US with sponsorship.

• Strong interpersonal skills and written/oral communication skills

• Language skills and a current passport may be preferred or required for certain internships
