External Reporting Manager

Job Purpose

This position is responsible for assisting the Senior Director, External Reporting, with the preparation of financial and regulatory reporting in accordance with U.S. Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and SEC regulatory filings. This person will also assist in the coordination of external audit, Sarbanes-Oxley compliance and of other related projects as assigned.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  1. Assist in the preparation the Company’s SEC reports, including Forms 10-K, 10-Q and other company filings within the required deadlines.
  2. Stay current on new/proposed accounting guidance and best practices, including GAAP, SEC Reporting and XBRL. Assist with the assessment of the impact of relevant guidance on the company's accounting and disclosure.
  3. Assist with special projects and initiatives to optimize the effectiveness of existing business applications, technologies and systems and to build efficiencies/improvements into current business processes.
  4. Assist with the documentation related to the internal control environment and provide support for SOX requirements, including review and maintenance of various corporate accounting processes and documentation.
  5. Assists in the refinement and maintenance of the accounting/financial policies, practices, internal controls and operating procedures.
  6. Assist with writing select Technical Memos and implementing new guidance as the project manager.



This position has no direct reports but is responsible for managing and coordinating finance colleagues through-out the world.

Education and/or Experience

  1. Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance required.
  2. CPA.
  3. 5+ years’ experience.
  4. Prior public accounting, and/or SEC reporting experience.
  5. Prior experience working in manufacturing industry and knowledge of regulatory accounting.

Language Skills

  • Ability to speak and read English fluently is required
  • Other language skills a plus.
Computer Skills
  • Ability to operate all standard Microsoft applications (Office 365)
  • Ability to operate financial systems a plus, Hyperion, BAAN, SAP etc.



Travel demands will fluctuate. While it is anticipated that travel will be limited, at times significant travel may be required
