We are seeking Unified Administrator for the Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences. Unified Administrator is responsible for managing and directing the department’s unified administrative, academic, fiscal and programmatic functions at Montefiore Medical Center, Albert Einstein College of Medicine and other affiliated institutions.



  • Promotes a team approach to develop the department mission, objectives and long/short range goals that are in alignment with those of the Medical Center
  • Develops, monitors and authorizes expenditures on all budgetary, grant and discretionary funds of the department
  • Develops the department‚Äôs fiscal and programmatic planning and leads the development and documentation of all planning functions
  • Provides direction to and supervises subordinates, management and department staff
  • Maintains and enhances systems which support department and Medical Center missions, goals and objectives including relevant data collection (demographic, financial, etc.) systems
  • Interacts with all levels of management staff throughout the Medical Center. Participates in Medical Center task forces and committees which have been formed to address specific institutional issues
  • Identifies opportunities and implement plans for revenue enhancement via departmental programs, faculty practice activities, Medical Center and Albert Einstein College of Medicine operations
  • Administers the personnel functions of the department for all staff
  • Develops and formally documents department policies and procedures. Interprets, communicates and monitors adherence to department policies and procedures
  • Actively participates in the planning and design for construction and/or renovation of departmental and Medical Center facilities for patient care, research and teaching
  • Experience with psychiatric and telehealth services, faculty practice development, and mental health and addiction regulations preferred
  • The ability to work effectively with cross functional groups and participate in problem solving initiatives
  • A solid understanding of financial and budget analysis Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite including Excellent communication and critical thinking skills
  • Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Word and HRIS knowledge
  • Master‚Äôs Degree Preferred
