Mine Operations Clerk

Reporting to the General Supervisor, Mine Operations, the Mine Operations Clerk is responsible for managing the administration of the Mine Operations and Occupational Health and Safety departments. This will include all general clerical duties as well as an opportunity to collaborate closely with multiple groups across mine operations and the mine site in general.

 

We are looking for a confident and skilled administrative professional to own their role in the operations department. We require someone with the ability to multitask, stay organized, and adjust to changing priorities. This role requires a high level of integrity and an ability know your audience, thus communication and interpersonal skills are vital.

Responsibilities:

  • Be a courageous safety leader, adhere to and sponsor safety and environmental rules and procedures
  • Manage technical requests, purchase orders, work orders, and on-boarding
  • Track vacation and time data, and complete staff payroll
  • Schedule monthly safety meeting, track action items and follow up on their progress and completion
  • Work with 3M Connected to Safety and Supervisors to build documents and report on field audits
  • Discover where efficiencies can be made to handle the fast paced work load

 

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum three years’ clerical experience in a fast paced, large scale, industrial environment
  • Strong digital literacy, especially in the Microsoft Office Suite®: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Sharepoint
