Business Procedures Analyst

Job Location: Dayton, OH                           


Role Value Proposition: 

Leads the effort to develop and implement new or revised projects, processes and initiatives.  Develop detailed work plans, schedules, and provide a single point of contact for assigned projects.  Acts as senior level subject matter expert to provide quality service to the customer by performing workflow processes, data analysis, reconciliation functions to ensure accuracy in reporting, monitoring team metrics, and in a mentor role for junior staff members.


Key Responsibilities:  

  • Gather data from multiple systems to support research, reconciliation, decision making and analytical functions. 
  • Takes original project concepts and creates/monitors Excel related tools through implementation to assist with financial analysis.
  •  Function as a single point of contact to track project status, identify/resolve obstacles, and assists with deliverables as both an individual contributor and to assist team in achieving unit goals.
  • Assist in developing work flow processes, creating work instructions, conducting associate training and quality reviews.
  • Act as senior level subject matter expert including workflow processes and reconciliations. Serves as a point of contact for escalated cases from staff and for interdepartmental inquiries.
  • Provide customer service phone support to internal business partners to process customer requests 8:30-5:00pm daily.
  • Coordinate implementation of process improvements, MetLife Way tools and practices.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned or required.


Essential Business Experience and Technical Skills:



  • Advanced Excel experience with the ability to manipulate: charts, conditional formatting, data validation, filtering, functions, sorting, and tables.
  • High school diploma and minimum of 1-2 years of related work experience.
  • Professional job subject to direct supervision and guidance from manager or senior staff
  • Advanced teamwork, cooperation, communication and customer service skills



  • Bachelor's degree
  • Strong knowledge of company operations, Property and Casualty insurance product and system knowledge.
