In your role, you will:

- Inspect, adjust, and/or calibrate measuring and test equipment in accordance with manufacturer and industry standards.

- Adhere to General Work Requirements

- Inspect, adjust, and/or calibrate measuring and test equipment in accordance with manufacturer and industry standards

- Document and maintain accurate computerized records of all personal and company-owned calibrated tools used in manufacturing operations, their location, results of completed inspections, and schedule for next inspection and certification

- Complete purchase requisition forms for vendor services, maintenance items, and/or repair parts

- Develop and document calibration procedures for measuring and test equipment

- Coordinate with departments concerning scheduled and unscheduled certification and/or repair of measuring and test equipment

- Coordinate with vendors concerning repair work, price of replacement parts, and certification of measuring and test equipment

- Ship measuring and test equipment to vendors for primary certification to ensure correct settings of instruments and tools certified on-site

- Assist other inspectors in the performance of their duties within area(s) of qualification

- Provide technical support to other departments regarding metrology and measuring and test equipment

- Document discrepancies and coordinate resolution with assigned area of Production, Methods, Engineering, and/or Material Review Board (MRB) as appropriate

Qualifications

As our ideal candidate,

- You have at least 5 years experience repairing, adjusting, and calibrating measuring and test equipment, which must include 1 year inspection related duties
- You have a 2 year degree or equivalent technical training in a related field
- You have the ability to read and interpret technical specifications
- You have the interpersonal skills necessary to work effectively with a variety of individuals and departments
- You have the ability to use and interpret a variety of precision measurement instruments
- You have the ability to read and write in English
- You have basic knowledge of calibration and certification standards concerning measuring and testing equipment (ANSI-Z-540-1)
- You have thorough knowledge of quality system
- You have thorough knowledge of manufacturers and industry standards concerning measuring and test equipment
- You have thorough knowledge of measuring and test equipment
- You have the ability to use computer aided design and manufacturing software
