We currently have an opening for a New Hire at our Lithonia, GA plant.  This is the entry level position for new manufacturing associates. This facility is on a 24/7 production schedule.

New hire associates perform assigned duties to help meet operational requirements, report to the produc-tion supervisor for the shift to which they are assigned, and follow the direction of the equipment opera-tor when they are assigned to a machine crew.

  

  Primary new hire duties / responsibilities include:

    - following all safety rules and practices;
    - reading factory work orders, print cards, and other documents to learn customer requirements;
    - identifying stock and products that correspond to work orders;
    - performing assigned duties to insure that production needs are met;
    - assisting other associates as needed;
    - accurately using tape measures and other measurement and test equipment;
    - inspecting, counting, stacking, and unitizing products according to customer specifications;
    - identifying and segregating nonconforming (reject) products and materials;
    - accurately completing time sheets, reports, lists, and other records;
    - keeping the supervisor informed of any problems and/or unusual situations;
    - maintaining work areas to plant standards of housekeeping;
    - maintaining teamwork with machine crews and other associates; and
    - performing other duties as assigned by supervision.


The qualifications for new hire associates are the ability to perform the duties/responsibilities of the job with or without accommodation; the ability to read, write, and speak English; the ability to accurately read a measuring tape and ruler; the ability to use basic shop math; the ability to learn; and the ability to follow instructions, ask questions, and work effectively as a member of a team.  Manufacturing or ware-house experience is preferred.
