Sr Scrum Master - Digital Commerce

The Digital Commerce domain is responsible for the APIs that drive our shopping experiences from browse to checkout. We maintain and develop new capabilities for T-Mobile's Digital Commerce Platform. Our products are REST APIs and our customers are T-Mobile development teams that, like us, obsess over delivering great experiences for customers. The Scrum Master is responsible for being a Coach, Facilitator and Servant Leader for the Agile Scrum team(s). They will continually look for ways the team can improve and will be able to encourage growth through cultivating strong relationships and trust. The Scrum Master owns and runs all Scrum Ceremonies. Ensures the scrum team has the resources they need, are shielded from distractions and interruptions and works to remove impediments. The Scrum Master will be responsible for budget and sprint status reporting (burn up/burn down) when a delivery manager or project manager is not assigned to the effort.


Responsibilities
  • Owns, organizes and facilitates Scrum ceremonies (daily stand-up meetings, reviews, estimation, retrospectives, sprint and release planning, demos and burndown tracking)
  • Assists the Product Owner and Technical Product Manager in user story creation/prioritization and product Backlog grooming via emergent requirements.
  • Collaborates with Business and P&T partners to support development and software delivery.
  • Asks difficult questions, removes impediments, and makes issues and problems visible. Escalates as necessary.
  • Ensures development team is working efficiently towards sprint goals.
  • Coaches the development team and stakeholders on how to use Agile/Scrum practices at a pace that is sustainable and comfortable for the team and organization.
  • Ensures cross functional coordination (analysts, developers and testers)
  • Mitigates all risks and issues "real-time", executing resolutions on demand.
  • Possesses excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work with diverse teams with diverse personalities, during high pressure scenarios, within extremely tight deadlines.


Qualifications
  • 7 years of technology experience with at least 3 years in Agile development including coaching on agile methodologies.
  • Extensive knowledge of IT concepts, strategies, methodologies, architectures and technical standards.
  • Proven leadership experience in achieving successful project outcomes with clear communication and excellent organizational skills


Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or a related technical discipline
