Job Description

Join an 80-strong engineering team to scale Lendable's leading consumer finance products. You will own problems end-to-end, building and integrating APIs across a modern PHP 8 and Symfony stack. As an individual contributor, you'll drive technical decisions through design forums while supporting the company's high-growth expansion into the US market.

What you will do

  • Design, build, and integrate new APIs across lending platforms while tuning existing services for massive scale.
  • Participate in frequent collaborative design forums to influence technical architecture and solve complex engineering challenges.
  • Implement robust automated testing using Behat and PHPUnit to ensure high-quality delivery within a Domain-Driven Design architecture.

The ideal candidate

  • Has 5+ years of commercial PHP experience with deep expertise in PHP 8.0+ and modern frameworks like Symfony.
  • Demonstrates a strong grasp of Domain-Driven Design, message-driven systems, and microservices architecture in a product-led environment.
  • Thrives in high-autonomy settings, making pragmatic technical trade-offs while maintaining a high degree of ownership over business-critical systems.
