Senior Analytics Engineer
Permanent role – Up to £85k + bonus + benefits – London 2x a week in the office.
We are seeking a Senior Analytics Engineer to join a growing data team and help scale a modern analytics platform. You will be responsible for designing and maintaining data transformations, creating trusted datasets, and developing scalable data products that support business intelligence and decision‑making. Working closely with analysts and stakeholders across the organisation, you'll help define data requirements, improve analytics capabilities, and champion best practices in analytics engineering.
Requirements
- Proven experience in Analytics Engineering or a similar data‑focused role.
- Strong SQL skills and experience working with modern cloud data platforms such as Databricks, Snowflake, or BigQuery.
- Experience building and automating data pipelines and transformation processes.
- Familiarity with dbt (Cloud or Core).
- Working knowledge of Python.
- Experience delivering data to Power BI or another modern BI platform.
- Strong stakeholder engagement skills and the ability to translate business requirements into scalable data solutions.
What will make you stand out
- Experience within Financial Services, FinTech, or other highly regulated industries.
- Experience with Git and collaborative software development practices.Knowledge of modern data modelling approaches, including Kimball methodologies and Bronze/Silver/Gold architectures.
- Understanding of CI/CD principles and analytics engineering best practices.
- Experience working within larger, mature data teams.
- A passion for building scalable data products and enabling data‑driven decision‑making across the business.
