Actus Search are currently supporting a global hedge fund in hiring a Database Administrator (PostgreSQL) to join a high-performing global systems team.
This role sits at the heart of a high-performance trading and research environment, focused on delivering scalable, resilient database infrastructure using modern DevOps practices.
? What you’ll be doing
- Designing, deploying, and supporting cross-platform database solutions (PostgreSQL, Redis, ClickHouse, MSSQL)
- Ensuring high availability, performance, and scalability across critical systems
- Implementing and maintaining:
- Backup and disaster recovery strategies
- Database optimization (indexes, triggers, stored procedures)
- Collaborating closely with development, infrastructure, and investment teams
- Owning projects end-to-end — from design through to production deployment

- Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS/GCP), CI/CD, and observability tools is a plus
- A systematic, problem-solving mindset with strong communication skills
