Product Owner – responsible for managing, overseeing, and leading the development of Digital Services including Intelligent Risk Capture (IRC). The role focuses on establishing deployment best practices, optimising Otera and platform technologies, and adding new functionality to support the scaled rollout of IRC to existing and new customers.

Key Responsibilities
- Define and maintain product standards and optionality. Develop standard technical specifications, operational processes, client‑customised functionality, and technical options.
- Own and manage the product definition of Intelligent Risk Capture for the market, including product options and technical implications.
- Maintain the product backlog (initially for IRC); ensure a healthy number of refined, estimated, prioritised stories that meet the definition of ready.
- Serve as the primary liaison between business stakeholders and delivery teams, bridging business requirements and technical delivery.
- Enable the delivery team throughout the SDLC – refinement, development, testing, release, and feedback.
- Define and communicate the product vision, objectives, and roadmap to the broader business.
- Participate in agile ceremonies (planning, refinement, review, retro, stand‑up) to improve processes.
- Monitor product performance and implement feedback loops for continuous improvement through data‑driven analysis.
- Own all supporting technical IP for Digital Services, including test environments, prototypes, data schemas, transformation rules, and design documentation.
- Support the Digital Delivery Lead in deploying services to new and existing clients, customising the product and coordinating with implementation partners.
Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
- Product owner / product manager experience (qualifications helpful but not necessary).
- Comfortable discussing technology/architecture, data structures, integrations, AI, automation, and RPA.
- Experience with agile delivery teams and ceremonies.
- Experience with agile software tools such as Azure DevOps, Jira, Confluence, Aha!, and other backlog management tools.
- Ability to prioritise competing demands and make decisions based on business value, risk, and strategic objectives.
- Insurance industry experience useful.
- Low‑code experience (Appian, Pega, etc.) useful.
- AI literate, can utilise AI tools to increase productivity (e.g., Copilot, meeting summary).
- Project management skills: backlog grooming, sprint planning, agile framework usage.

Knowledge & Qualifications
- 5+ years of product management experience, ideally with 2+ years in AI/ML, automation, or data‑driven product development.
- Strong understanding of commercial insurance products, operations, and customer workflows.
- Proven experience delivering successful digital/AI products in complex, regulated environments.
- Familiarity with RPA (UiPath, Automation Anywhere), machine learning platforms (AWS SageMaker, Azure ML), and natural language processing.
- Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and cross‑functional collaboration skills.
- Ability to bridge technical and non‑technical audiences, focusing on business outcomes.
