About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Infrastructure Automation Engineer with strong Python and Ansible expertise to support the automation of infrastructure management, certification, and deployment processes. This role is ideal for someone with a background in infrastructure, networking, Linux systems, or platform engineering who has hands‑on experience automating repetitive operational tasks.

You will work closely with internal stakeholders to design, develop, and implement scalable automation solutions that improve infrastructure provisioning, testing, and operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain automation solutions using Python and Ansible.
• Automate infrastructure installation, configuration, deployment, and lifecycle management.
• Design and integrate APIs to enable infrastructure‑on‑demand capabilities.
• Perform and automate lab‑based testing for new hardware and software certification.
• Collaborate with infrastructure, engineering, and business teams to gather requirements and deliver robust technical solutions.
• Troubleshoot automation workflows and continuously improve operational processes.
• Produce technical documentation and maintain automation standards and best practices.
• Strong hands‑on experience with Python for infrastructure automation.
• Proven experience using Ansible to automate infrastructure deployment and configuration.
• Experience automating repetitive infrastructure tasks involving servers, networking, compute, or middleware environments.
• Strong Linux system administration and command‑line experience.
• Solid understanding of networking fundamentals, including:
• TCP/IP
• HTTP/HTTPS
• SSL/TLS
• BGP
• DNS
• Experience working with distributed web applications and their supporting infrastructure.
• Experience integrating or consuming REST APIs for infrastructure automation.
• Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and problem‑solving skills.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Terraform or other Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) tools.
• Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.
• Virtualization or cloud infrastructure experience (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
• Experience with infrastructure certification, testing, or validation environments.

The successful candidate is likely to come from one of the following backgrounds:

• Infrastructure Automation Engineer
• Network Automation Engineer
• Infrastructure Engineer with Python scripting experience
• Systems Engineer with automation expertise

You will be passionate about infrastructure automation, comfortable working in Linux environments, and experienced in using Python and Ansible to streamline complex infrastructure operations.
