Your Role

MinterEllison’s Dispute Resolution team works on some of Australia's most high-profile, complex, and precedent-setting cases. We have a national team of over 70 recognised dispute resolution experts across a range of industries and disciplines.

An opportunity currently exists for an Associate with at least 2 years of post-admission experience in commercial litigation to join the team, working closely with partners Kathryn Finlayson and Evan Goldman in addition to senior lawyers. This is a leading commercial litigation and competition law practice, advising major corporates and government on high-stakes commercial, regulatory and competition matters.

You will advise clients in the energy and resources, health and infrastructure industries as well as Queensland Government clients on a range of commercial and regulatory disputes and investigations.

Working in a supportive, flexible and close-knit team, you will be solution-driven, commercial and pragmatic, and focused on understanding our clients' needs.

More About You

  • at least 2 years' of post-admission experience in commercial litigation and regulatory disputes
  • possess excellent plain English drafting skills and the confidence to advise clients on complex legal and regulatory issues;
  • a high level of technical excellence and attention to detail;
  • possess a strong client service mindset, with demonstrated experience building and maintaining trusted client relationships;
  • have the ability to work autonomously while thriving in a team based, collaborative environment;
  • take pride in your work, your professional reputation, and the firm you represent.
  • has a strong commercial mindset, are driven, hard-working and take initiative.
