Overview
Machine Learning Intern at Teletrac Navman — you’ll gain hands-on experience working on real-world ML challenges, transforming raw data into meaningful insights that influence our products and customers. This is an opportunity to move beyond theory and contribute to production-relevant ML workflows within a collaborative engineering environment.
What You’ll Be Working On
- Building and curating datasets, including cleaning, labelling, and preparation
- Performing exploratory data analysis to uncover patterns in fleet and telematics data
- Engineering features and supporting model development
- Training, validating, and comparing machine learning models
- Evaluating model performance using appropriate metrics and techniques
- Documenting datasets, experiments, and results clearly and reproducibly
- Collaborating with engineers and product stakeholders to translate business problems into ML solutions
- Contributing to experiment tracking and model workflows
- Supporting prototyping and research initiatives
Your work will directly improve the quality, efficiency, and reliability of our ML-driven capabilities.
Qualifications
- Currently completing (or recently completed) a degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Machine Learning, AI, Mathematics, Statistics or similar
- Strong interest in practical machine learning and applied problem-solving
- Understanding of core ML concepts such as data preparation, feature engineering, and model evaluation
- Ability to code, document, and communicate clearly
- A proactive mindset and willingness to learn from hands-on experience
