Overview

Epworth Eastern has opportunities to join our wonderful and supportive team on a casual, part-time or full-time basis as a Theatre Technician. Join our dynamic team that is committed to delivering an exceptional patient experience with a focus on safety first. You will be responsible for delivering high-quality service, patient care, handling equipment, and transportation services while contributing to the overall performance of the operating suite.

Responsibilities

  • Assisting clinicians and team members with patient preparation
  • Preparing and maintaining operating suite equipment
  • Providing safe patient transport within the operating suite and interdepartmental transfers

Qualifications

  • Must have completed a Certificate III Theatre Technician qualification
  • Minimum 12 months clinical experience as a theatre technician in an acute operating theatre
  • You must have a clear understanding and use of medical terminology
  • Understanding of, and ability to set-up medical devices / theatres
  • Flexible working arrangements to best match your work/life balance committed to a rotating roster (mix of AM, PM, twilight and Saturday shifts)

Salary

The annual salary range for Theatre Technicians – AUD $57,744 – $70,910 + super + entitlements dependent on year level (prorated for part-time).

It is a condition of employment with Epworth HealthCare, subject to reasonable exemptions, that you have had an annual Influenza vaccination, where this is required under Epworth policy.

As a child safe organisation, all successful applicants are required to satisfactorily clear a National Police Check (conducted by Epworth) and may be required to hold a valid employee Working with Children Check (provided by you).
