Description
The Performance Marketing Specialist role is responsible for accelerating the growth of UNIQLO Australia through performance marketing such as Paid search, SEO, programmatic, etc.
For this role, we are looking for a candidate who goes beyond technical expertise in performance marketing and can drive both creative excellence and brand growth from a customer‑centric perspective.
In addition to managing campaigns based on data analysis, the ideal candidate should be able to evaluate the effectiveness of copy and visual assets, provide clear creative direction, and contribute to building strong brand affinity for UNIQLO.
This role is not limited to managing agency relationships. It requires close, day‑to‑day collaboration with cross‑functional teams such as E‑commerce, CRM, and Social, in order to solve business challenges holistically through data‑driven insights and customer understanding.
Key Responsibilities
- Drive performance marketing strategy and execution: Plan, manage, and optimise full‑funnel campaigns across paid channels (e.g. Meta, Google, TikTok, Programmatic) to achieve traffic, conversion, and revenue targets.
- Lead creative effectiveness and optimisation: Evaluate and guide the development of ad creatives (copy, visuals, messaging), identifying winning approaches and continuously improving performance through testing and iteration. Analyse performance data, customer behaviour, and campaign results to generate clear, actionable insights and recommendations for business growth.
- Collaborate cross‑functionally to solve business challenges: Work closely with E‑commerce, CRM, Social, and other internal teams on a daily basis to align on priorities, share insights, and drive integrated marketing initiatives.
- Manage and elevate agency partnerships: Provide clear direction to agency partners, ensuring high‑quality execution, accountability, and continuous optimisation aligned with business goals.
- Balance short‑term performance with long‑term brand growth: Optimise for immediate KPIs (e.g. ROAS, CVR) while contributing to long‑term brand building, customer acquisition, and loyalty.
- Support campaign planning and key commercial moments: Contribute to the planning and execution of major campaigns (e.g. sales, seasonal activations, new product launches), ensuring consistency across channels and touchpoints.
Experience, Skills and Knowledge
- 5+ years of experience in performance marketing or digital marketing roles.
- Proven track record of managing and optimising campaigns across multiple paid channels.
- Hands‑on experience in creating and optimising copy and creative assets based on performance.
- Hands‑on experience with platforms such as Google Ads, Meta Ads Manager, TikTok, Programmatic, etc.
- Strong proficiency in GA4 and campaign performance analysis (CTR, CVR, ROAS, etc.).
- Advanced Excel / Google Sheets; basic SQL or data handling skills preferred.
- Ability to assess and optimise creative assets (copy, visuals, messaging) based on performance data.
- Ability to allocate budgets effectively across channels based on performance and business priorities.
- Experience in designing, executing, and interpreting A/B tests for continuous optimisation.
- Experience working in cross‑functional environments, collaborating with teams such as E‑commerce, CRM, Social, and external agencies.
- Experience in retail, e‑commerce, or consumer‑focused brands is highly preferred.
- Demonstrated ability to translate business objectives into marketing strategies and execution plans.
