Role Overview
We are looking for Lecturers to teach across a range of undergraduate levels as part of our BA (Hons) Accounting & Finance programme. The delivery model requires flexibility to teach during weekdays, evenings and weekends.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan, deliver, assess and improve student work to meet learning outcomes.
- Develop, update and enhance course materials.
- Employ a variety of teaching methods and materials.
- Participate in staff development, peer observations, meetings and other administrative duties.
- Keep up to date with developments in the field and student support practices.
- Work towards objectives for student attendance, continuation, completion, satisfaction and progression.
Qualifications
- Master’s degree in a relevant subject area (PhD desirable).
- Previous UK HE lecturing experience in the subject area.
- Extensive knowledge of the subject matter.
- Experience supervising student work and providing feedback.
- Accurate reporting and maintaining thorough student records.
- Ability to work under pressure and prioritise workload to meet tight deadlines.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal and team‑working skills.
- Ability to work with diverse groups of people.
Desirable
- Postgraduate Certificate of Academic Practice or equivalent (or commitment to enrol in a teaching programme and complete within three years) or Fellowship of HEA (or international equivalent).
- Experience designing/developing academic or professional education programmes or equivalent.
