About the role: Gather by Cater Care is seeking an enthusiastic Casual Catering Assistant to join our friendly team at the Mount Eliza site. This is a hands-on role in a fast-paced kitchen environment, perfect for someone with a positive, can-do attitude and a happy personality. You’ll be involved in meal preparation and service and helping to create a welcoming dining experience every day. You’ll work alongside a supportive and inclusive team where your contribution is genuinely valued, making each shift varied, engaging, and rewarding.
Pay: $26 per hour + casual loading and penalty rates
Roster: Various days and hours; AM or PM shifts available
Responsibilities
- Assisting with food preparation and serving meals and snacks
- Providing excellent customer service with a smile
- Re-stocking items as needed and after meal periods
- Washing dishes and keeping kitchen and dining areas clean and safe
- Following all food safety and hygiene standards
Qualifications
- Experience in food preparation and/or customer service
- A basic Food Handler’s Certificate
- A valid driver’s licence and own vehicle
- The ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with a friendly and positive attitude
