Sr Software Engineer

Job Description

As a member of our team, you will be focused on helping us create software that is reliable, maintainable, secure, and creates a framework for innovative solutions. You will tackle complex problems and identify whether they require innovations, decisions, or routine tasks.  Whiteboards will be often used by you and the team.  Through agile processes, you will work on a variety of projects including client-facing web applications using C#, Angular JS and HTML5 .  We seek to make the action of writing code as efficient as possible in order to allow for a focus on clean architecture designs and continuous education.  We aim to build a team with highly motivated individuals who share in a craftsman type approach to software.



Familiar with ASP.NET, C#, Javascript, HTML5

Understanding of REST API structure and ASP.NET WebAPI

Experience with Dependency Injection

Application Security (encryption, secure messaging)

Microsoft SQL

Azure Services (Web Apps, Cosmos, Web Jobs)

Comfortable with Agile processes

Proficiency with JavaScript and HTML5

Experience with JavaScript frameworks (Angular 2 or 4, React)

Professional, precise communication skills

Extensive knowledge of CSS and JS methods for providing performant visual effects

Thorough understanding of the responsibilities of the platform, database, API, caching layer, proxies, and other web services used in the system

Writing non-blocking code, and resorting to advanced techniques such as multi-threading, when needed

Experience writing and executing unit tests

Experience with Microsoft VSTS

Works with team members to communicate unacceptable risks to quality.

Adheres to standard operating procedures to ensure consistency in the way we test software.

Contributes to agile planning by establishing tasks and forecasts for work to be performed.

Asks the right questions at the right time to reduce the introduction of quality risk

Writes and executes test cases that probe system limits in terms of function and performance.

Identifies/resolves software inconsistencies, ambiguities and defects during implementation.

Considers dependencies in test case design and execution.

Supports and is accountable for timely releases and adherence to release activities.


Designs, codes, and documents automated test cases within a defined framework.

Develops software interfaces between the system under test and the automation framework

Produces high quality test automation code.

Translates existing manual regression test cases into automated tests.

Assure automated regression test cases are integrated and passing in a nightly build process.

Contributes to merge up/down through development process.

6+ years in web application development

Bachelor degree in discipline related to functional work or role OR demonstrated ability to meet the job requirements through a comparable number of years of applicable work experience.
