Channel Sales Rep

As a Channel Sales Rep working out of your home office, you will be a key member of our winning sales team.  James Hardie is the #1 brand of siding in America. Consider this.  Our Channel Sales Rep out of Washington D.C. works to secure relationships and product positioning within “big box” (i.e. Lowe’s, Home Depot) retail accounts while continuing to monitor inventory and improving brand presence in the store.  In addition, this role will strategically identify and target potential end users (i.e. installers, property management companies, remodelers) to generate and grow new business by converting them from using competitive building products to James Hardie products, specifically our tile backer board product called HardieBacker®. 


HardieBacker cement board is a tile underlayment made for wet areas like kitchens and bathrooms.  It is resistant to moisture and mold, giving superior performance along with a limited lifetime warranty.  HardieBacker is named the most preferred brand of backer board by tile installers and contractors according to the 2015 Tile and Stone Report.



  • Bachelor degree required (in Business/Sales/Marketing preferred)
  • 1-2 years’ successful outside sales experience  
  • Valid driver’s license
  • Bilingual (English and Spanish) is a plus
