HVAC Technician, Sr Building Engineer

RESPONSIBILITY LEVEL: Operating at a journeyman level, performs a variety of HVAC-R and other mechanical, electrical and electronic, hydraulics or machine servicing, etc in a regulated environment (GMP). PRINCIPLE DUTIES: Performs a variety of HVAC-R service work, including ultra-low freezers, mechanical, electrical and electronic, BMS systems, hydraulics or machine servicing, etc. Provides direction and training to less experienced HVAC technicians. Plans, selects, and lays out required materials for service and repair work. Works from drawings, schematics, blueprints, job layouts or verbal instructions and operates a variety of tools and machines incidental to operations. Requisitions new supplies and equipment. Performs all work in accordance with established safety procedures. Complies with all company policies and procedures and adhere to company standards. Perform other duties as required. \n\n REQUIREMENTS: Completion of an HVAC related apprenticeship program or a two year technical degree and at least five(5) years commercial HVAC work experience. A combination of automation/automated controls and HVAC experience will be considered in lieu of five (5+) years dedicated HVAC experience. Requires in-depth knowledge of various maintenance fundamentals sufficient to deal with service and repairs. Special consideration given to those with experience with GMP, ultra-low freezers, chillers, chilled water systems and specialized exhaust systems. Basic experience with computer operation and internet-based applications. Must be physically able to perform basic maintenance tasks to the highest caliber, which includes ability to: climb ladders, work in confined spaces, lift objects weighing up to 50 lbs., etc. May be required to use a variety of hand and power tools or forklift. Must be a team player committed to working in a quality environment.
