The Advanced Concepts and Technologies Group develops radar, communications, and systems technologies for use in future air defense systems. Of particular interest is the development of highly digitized phased-array radars and advanced signal processing techniques to enable the next generation of shipboard and airborne surveillance sensors. Major activities within the group include system concept development, modeling and simulation, signal processing algorithm design, prototype system design and development, and experimental field testing and data analysis.



This dynamic group comprises of a diverse team of scientists and engineers with expertise in physics, mathematics, computer science, and various engineering backgrounds. The research focus in the group is in electronic warfare (EW) and enabling technologies to support EW. Areas of interest are: sensing technology, digital radio frequency memory systems, autonomous agent coordination, machine learning and artificial intelligence, and advanced signal processing algorithms. Many of the programs in the group lead to field demonstrations of novel, next generation capabilities of surface and airborne systems. The group also has an inclusive culture of mentoring at all levels and offers the opportunity for frequent interactions and collaborations between leadership, senior technical staff, and peer-to-peer technical communities.


The Advanced Concepts and Technologies Group is looking for an entry level candidate who can provide support across a variety of projects including research in signal processing, autonomy, coordination, digital systems, and hardware prototype design and integration. The candidate needs to have a strong background in signals and systems, mathematics, and physics.



  • BS in EE, Physics or related field. 0 - 3 years of experience.
  • Ability to think through a systems design process and implement custom software and/or hardware.
  • Strong programming skills and ability to solve complex problems as part of a team.
  • Prior experience with Matlab or similar programming tools is required.
  • A demonstrated background in effective problem solving and communication skills, and the ability to work as part of a team.
  • A mathematical background or prior experience in signal processing is desired, but not required for this position.
