As an Engineering Intern in Manufacturing Development  R&D group at Micron Technology, you will be asked to support 300mm semiconductor processes and equipment used in the clean room of a state of the art fabrication facility.  Typical Internships will be for the summer months, and will be located in Boise, Idaho. You will be assigned a project that is intended to last the duration of your 3 month internship, and will occupy most of your time.  You will be trained in safety procedures, and for the operations required for your assignment. You will work in the clean room fabrication environment during a portion of you internship.  You will be required to give a verbal presentation on your project results,  near the end of your internship.  In addition you may assist in product defect investigations, and help set up tools and processes for R & D experiments.  You may work with fab tool automation systems and software, and troubleshoot routine automation errors.  You may react to SPC data and investigate /correct causes for SPC notifications.  You may also expect to create Quality Deviation Reports, Engineering Change Notices, and be responsible for moving your assigned project forward. 



Manufacturing Development R&D is an exciting and fast paced environment.  Qualified candidates should have the ability work on multiple tasks concurrently, prioritize issues and tasks with the willingness to work any shift, including periodic rotations and some overtime.. Applicants must be self-motivated and possess excellent verbal and written communication skills.  PC skills in EXCEL, WORD, POWERPOINT and JMP are a plus.



Junior Level Status in Chemical Engineering, Mech Engineering. Electrical Engineering, Material Science, Physics, or related Engineering Discipline.
