Description:



Individual shall maintain, provide updates to and/or create procedures and documentation for maintaining all FEMA hardware and software. Individual shall perform full‐scope administration, management, and configuration, patching, upgrades and optimization of FEMA devices, application systems, and servers.

Individual shall provide hardware installation, support and administration for hardware systems across FEMA. This includes Central Processing Units (CPUs), memory, storage and other ancillary/peripheral devices, and includes, but is not limited to, maintenance, upgrades, security patching, firmware or software updates, reconfiguration, moves/adds/changes, troubleshooting, repair, correction of faults, performance improvements or other attributes, adaptation to a changing environment, anticipation of problems, and performance of preventive maintenance, install or modify network security elements, tools, and other systems as required to maintain optimal coverage and performance, as approved by the Government POC. Individual shall provide this support on a timely basis as defined in the individual task order. FEMA maintains a separate hardware maintenance contract which provides replacement hardware and/or components for out of warranty systems.

Individual shall provide software installation, support and administration for software systems across FEMA (both in the Continental United States (CONUS) and outside the Continental United States (OCONUS)) which may include virtual and physical systems including data centers. This support includes maintenance, modification and configuration of software systems or components to correct faults, improve performance or other attributes; adapt to a changed environment or maintenance activities focused on anticipated problems, or preventive maintenance. Individual shall perform full‐scope administration, management, and configuration, security patching, upgrades and optimization of FEMA tools, devices and application systems, servers. The software support and administration applies to commercial products including, but is not limited to operating systems, browsers, productivity software, etc. The software support and administration also includes custom developed software, Government-Off-the-Shelf software (GOTS), etc.

Qualifications:

TYPICAL EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

- Bachelors and six (6) years or more of related experience; Masters and four (4) years or more experience; PhD and 0 years related experience.

CLEARANCE REQUIREMENT:

- Clearance Level Must Currently Possess: Secret
- Clearance Level To Obtain: Secret

REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

- A related four-year degree and knowledge of the field of journalism or public information writing and editing techniques
- Six (6) plus years related work experience
- The ability to compose or edit documents or web content produced by others for clarity, conciseness, tone, grammar, punctuation and spelling
- Research skills for complex and controversial issues affecting the program to develop background materials, including reports and briefing statements, suitable for keeping senior Service and Department officials informed
- Working collaboratively and communicate effectively with a wide range of disciplines and technical experts
- Understanding and analyzing complex agency policies and issues
- Writing, analyzing, and editing documents (e.g., web content, articles, fact sheets, reports, briefing statements, speeches, video scripts, social media, and other materials needed for communications of new and existing programs), which are clear, concise, understandable, and grammatically correct
