Registered Nurse (RN) Oncology SIGN ON BONUS

SIGN-ON BONUS AVAILABLE with Two (2) Year Commitment Unit Description: The 8th Floor Medical Oncology unit has a total of 36 private rooms with an average of RN-patient care ratio of 5:1. The staff's family-centered approach to care recognizes the impact of a cancer diagnosis on patients and family members alike. The medical oncology unit is designed to meet the medical and emotional needs of patients and their loved ones. The certified oncology nurses are specially trained to care for cancer patients and their families. Our Ideal Candidate... The ideal Registered Nurse candidate for this department will be positive, passionate, and professional. He/she will be an effective team player and will be committed to delivering the highest quality of patient care. This candidate will have a minimum 1 year experience on a medical oncology unit and be chemo certified within 1 year of hire date. The ideal candidate will be knowledgeable of the patient's disease process and able to provide emotional and physical support to the patient. Minimum Qualifications: * Active Florida Registered Nurse Licensure * Current BLS issued by the American Heart Association * Minimum of 1 year of Hospital RN experience * Previous acute care Medical Oncology experience is strongly preferred * Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills. * Must meet minimum education requirements to be eligible for the sign on bonus. * Sign-on bonus amounts are $6,000 day shift or $8,000 night shift. * Incumbent may be required to perform emergency duty before, during and/or beyond normal work hours or days in the event of an emergency, crisis situation or disaster (man-made or natural) including evacuation sites. * The person in this position will work in a smoke-free location, and is expected to adhere to all smoking restrictions. * In the spirit of wellness for both our employees and patients, Boca Raton Regional Hospital has instituted a mandatory influenza prevention vaccination program. Current employees must receive the influenza prevention vaccination free of charge during the recognized flu season. As a condition of employment, new hires will be required to comply with all program rules. This is a mandatory program with the exception of documented medical or religious reasons for not receiving the vaccine.
