Quality Auditor III - 2nd Shift

2nd Shift, Monday - Friday, 10:00am - 8:00pm

As the Quality Auditor III, you will be responsible for assisting the supervisor in efficient daily operations of the Quality Audit department, including the supervision of other employees in the absence of the supervisor. You will also perform internal audits of the manufacturing process and supporting departments and verify the implementation of ISO policies and procedures described in the documented quality system. What you’ll do on a typical day:

  • Inspect finished products, products being processed, incoming materials, parts, and assemblies; review batch records and test products for conformance to company standards
  • Perform random in-process auditing to verify accuracy of product and/or process
  • Assist supervisors with follow-up on quality-related problems, department quality improvements, and scheduling; recommend solutions and ensure corrective action is taken on failed lots
  • Document audit findings and records in quality database system; run reports for various audiences
  • Train and interpret process procedures/work instructions/quality bulletins with departments being audited; provide input on changes and/or updates to work instructions/procedures
  • Perform daily preparations for shift start-up; maintain supplies for auditors; provide assistance/backup to coworkers within the department
  • Participate in special projects (auditing, training, and/or inspecting) and provide reports to management on findings; participate in yearly inventory, preparation, and counting
  • Possess knowledge of teardown and reassembly process that aids in auditing per the work instructions
  • Follow company policies and procedures, enforce safety regulations, and assure proper procedures are followed by all coworkers; maintain a neat, clean, and organized appearance and work area  

What you need to succeed at XPO:

At a minimum, you’ll need:

  • High School diploma
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals; ability to interpret graphs
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, able to perform research on the internet and in XPO systems; able to function as a process expert within the specific department
  • Ability to conduct ESN searches in WMPlus for transactions and receipt data; able to extract data from WMPlus for reports and construct pivot tables from data
  • Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos; ability to write simple correspondence

It’d be great if you also have:

  • Associate degree
  • 1 to 2 years of experience
  • Effective communication and presentation skills with the ability to share information in one-on-one, as well as small and large group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization
  • Able to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form; ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations
