2nd Class Power Engineer, Shift Leader

Closing Date: September 14, 2018


Reporting to the Production Superintendent, Roasting & Sulphur Products.


  • Be a courageous safety leader, adhere to and sponsor safety and environmental rules and procedures
  • Demonstrated knowledge of and strong commitment towards Trail’s Safety, Hygiene and Environmental policies.
  • Accountable for the safe and efficient operation of the Roaster, Sulphur Gas Handling and Zinc Pressure Leach plants and for the development and training of employees reporting to them.
  • Must understand and enforce Teck and Government standards and regulations as they apply to Teck employees and on-site contractors.
  • Plan and organize your own work as well as the work of others.


  • 2nd Class Power Engineer certificate.
  • Good oral and written communication skills, promotes open communication and demonstrates respect for others.
  • Sueprviory exprience.
  • Must be familiar with Power Engineers and Boiler and Pressure Vessel Act.
  • Demonstrated mechanical aptitude and the ability and willingness to learn.
