Program Coordinator of Academic Support @ UC Blue Ash

The University of Cincinnati Blue Ash College invites applications for a Program Coordinator in our Academic Support department. The Program Coordinator will oversee day-to-day administrative and clerical support functions of the following departments: Math, Physics, Computer Science, Behavioral Science, Art & Visual Communication, and Foreign Language departments. UC Blue Ash is the largest regional college in Ohio and one of the largest colleges at the University of Cincinnati.  We are an open access college and offer primarily associate degrees with an enrollment of approximately 5100 students.

 

Duties will include but are not limited to the following:

•             Organizing & executing departmental events

•             Maintaining and updating departmental documents, handbooks, shared drives, etc.

•             Support individual department heads with special projects

•             Liaison for departments to the College, faculty, staff, students and outside organizations

•             Ordering & maintaining classes, including class permissions

•             Creating forms, pulling and tracking data & compiling reports

•             Attend meetings, assist with notes and documents

•             Departmental purchasing & allocation

•             Update and maintain websites & Blackboard sites

•             Schedule rooms for meetings and events

•             Facilitate accreditation & selective admissions (if applicable)

•             Create & process contracts

•             Participate in personnel searches, maintain adjunct pools

•             Contribute to creation of brochures, flyers, and departmental promotion

•             Collaborate with Program Coordinator team and other College departments, any other additional duties as requested 

 

Minimum Qualifications:   Bachelor's degree with one (1) year experience; -OR- Associate's degree with three (3) years’ experience; -OR- five (5) years’ experience.

  

Preferred Qualifications:  The ideal candidate will have previous experience in higher education and clerical support. Applicants would ideally possess the ability to multi-task and be able to serve multiple department chairs and faculty. Experience in Microsoft Office Applications and with student information systems is preferred.
