Rogers is seeking a Sr Business Systems Analyst to play a key role in solving complex business problems by turning data into actionable insights through conceptualizing, designing, developing and testing analytical solutions as required.  Reporting to the Manager – Business Analysis of Data Management & Technology at the Rogers Park Brampton Campus, as well as the downtown Toronto Campus, this individual will be responsible for Requirement Elicitation / Documentation, Solution Design and Development of BI Projects.  This individual will be expected to lead in the successful delivery of several simultaneous projects, leveraging both Agile and Waterfall methodologies, working collaboratively with multiple business units, IT teams and external partners.


What You’ll Be Doing...

·        Lead BA activities in Agile Sprints and other Agile sessions to drive and document requirements / user stories

·        Design Data Warehouse ETLs and reports to meet project needs.

·        Lead / Participate in Joint Application Design (JAD) sessions to create / review solution designs.

·        Actively review solution designs to conform to Rogers SDLC standards and gating processes.

·        Drive value-added decision through requirements and design phases of projects to align with Rogers strategic goals.

·        Oversee vendor delivery of solution design, requirement documentation, and code to follow standards.

·        Driving Process and Tool improvements to optimize Rogers operations and cost efficiencies.

·        Develop solution standards for code, documentation, and designs to ensure best in class solutions.

·        Manage relationships and expectations with Stakeholders.

·        Lead and participate in teams to meet fast-paced deliverables with quality and efficiency.

·        Mentoring Rogers employees (SME knowledge, industry best practices, design standards)


What You Have...

·        Proven passion for driving process improvements.

·        Ability to work and lead teams and projects.

·        Strong knowledge and experience (>5 years) with both Agile and Waterfall methodologies

·        Strong Communication. (Oral & Written)

·        Minimum of 5 years of Data Warehouse experience.

·        Minimum of 5 years of Informatica Developer & scripting experience.

·        Minimum of 1 year of Operations \ Production Support.

·        Proficient with Oracle SQL queries, query optimization and table design.

·        Ability to multi-task on multiple high priority projects \ deliverables.

·        Knowledge of Data Modeling.

·        Knowledge of Telecom Industry an asset.

·        Knowledge of Oracle DRM, Microstrategy and Tableau an asset.

·        Big Data experience an asset.R
