Research Scientist - Quality Assurance

The Supply Chain Quality Assurance team supports all facets of the supply chain by sampling incoming raw materials and packaging components to ensure they meet our strong quality standards.  Amway is known for its high-quality products, and this team’s work, allows us to maintain that premier status in the marketplace.  This team works with a vast number of raws and components to deliver the highest quality ingredients for manufacturing, and sample at the beginning, middle, and end of the supply chain cycle.  This is a big team, working three shifts, working collaboratively with several groups to move samples and testing through a busy lab environment.  If you enjoy a systems focused role in a fast-past environment, that provides broad supply chain exposures in a global quality operation, this role may be perfect for you!


How you would contribute to the role:


This position offers a role that is largely systems focused, supporting metrics analysis and reporting for Ada Supply Chain Quality Assurance.  This role supports the Supply Chain Quality Assurance and Value Chain teams, providing valued reporting around quality metrics and analysis that provides a platform for continuous improvement.  In this function, you will lead quality reporting that enables supply chain partners and business leaders to make informed decisions and provides valuable insights around areas of focus.  A sciences background is a plus, as you will investigate quality issues around raw materials, packaging components, or finished product, and will also support and track testing completed by outside labs.  This is a desk job in a lab environment, so if you love working with systems, and have a talent for analytics, reporting and metrics, take a look at this opportunity!


What skills and background will be important to be successful:

  • Minimum 3 - 5 years’ experience offering systems reporting to a client group  
  • Talent with systems and analysis, with the ability to provide meaningful reporting and analytics
  • Sciences background desired, with some knowledge of chemical testing processes
  • Exposures to OBIEE, Starlims, SharePoint, JDE, Red Prairie, and Excel
  • Exposures to manufacturing operations desirable
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Bachelor of Science, Business, or a related field
