The User Experience (UX) Lead is responsible for engaging with key stakeholders to gather and develop business requirements in order to enhance the features, functionalities, content and organizational structure of Capital Group’s web properties.  Responsibilities: 
  • Develops and presents user experience recommendations to key stakeholders for large-scale complex initiatives ensuring user experience solutions meet intended objectives. 
  • Leads research efforts to understand user needs such as heuristics, usability testing, focus groups, web analytics and competitor evaluations. 
  • Designs, develops and conducts usability testing scenarios to understand and validate user needs throughout the lifecycle of projects. 
  • Partners with business stakeholders and technical teams to understand and communicate technical capabilities of business requirements. 
  • Manages user experience deliverables including interaction requirements, user flows, wireframes, specifications and visual designs. 
  • Makes recommendations for improvements and application of best practices to enhance creative workflow.  
  • Manages creative process during projects to ensure efficiency, user experience consistency and coordination with system development and production processes. 
  • Ensures optimal site usability by continuously evaluating current user behavior and site design and structure. 
  • Researches new user interface ideas, emerging technologies and applications and incorporates into user experience practice and site design. 
  • 5+ years of UX design experience and knowledge of the financial industry a plus. 
  • Meaningful experience in using UX design best practices to design solutions, and possess a deep understanding of mobile-first and responsive design.
  • Previous experience in Agile development environment highly desirable. 
  • A solid grasp of user-centered design (UCD), planning and conducting user research, user testing, A/B testing, interactive prototyping, heuristic analysis, usability and accessibility concerns.
  • Knowledge of HTML, Java and other internet application technologies. 
  • Ability to effectively communicate design processes, ideas, and solutions to teams and clients.
