SAIC has an immediate opening for top talent to join our SETA team. This role is for a full-time Ground Mission-Processing Systems Engineer (Ground Subject Matter Expert) SETA to assist an Intelligence Community customer in the Northern Virginia area. Qualified candidates must have a current TS/SCI level clearance with active Counterintelligence polygraph.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Provide lifecycle system engineering & technical assistance (SETA) support of future ground architecture

- Perform Systems Engineering activities such as concept of operations formulation, requirements definition, analysis and engineering, system architecting, system analysis and design, interface and data architectures, validation and verification, systems integration, system & op. performance analysis, lifecycle cost analysis & estimation, decision analysis and physical configuration analysis (PCA)

- Utilize a strong understanding of overhead collection, processing architecture, and systems

- Develop technical solutions to complex problems which require the regular use of ingenuity and creativity

- Ensure the logical and systematic conversion of product requirements into total systems solutions that acknowledge technical, schedule, and cost constraints

- Perform functional analysis, timeline analysis, detail trade studies, requirements allocation and interface definition studies to translate customer requirements into hardware and software or engineering specifications

- Leverage experience with mission ground systems and processing techniques/systems

- Assist in the design and/or operations of mission ground systems

- Provide cost, technical and schedule advisory assistance for Future Ground Architecture activity

Qualifications:
CLEARANCE REQUIREMENTS:

- Current SCI clearance, and clearable by the NRO

- Current polygraph, acceptable to the NRO

REQUIRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, AND QUALIFICATIONS:

- Bachelor degree in STEM is mandatory (science, technical, engineering, math) discipline with at least 2 years of experience in related work

- Proficient in MS Office applications

- Aptitude for on-site SETA work, understanding the complexities of technical advisory service

- Effective interpersonal skills and strong briefing and writing skills

- Demonstrated ability to work in a fast paced, dynamic, and energetic environment

DESIRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, AND QUALIFICATIONS:

- Advanced degree in STEM discipline

- Qualifications in systems engineering

- Experience with IC organizations

- Prior US military experience

- Expertise in the design and/or operations of mission ground systems

- Experience in satellite systems engineering

- Understanding of mission user needs and operational environments

- Supports Future Ground Architecture effort

- Either SIGINT or GEOINT background
