This position is accountable to the Production Supervisor and has manufacturing operation responsibilities for the set up and operation of CNC mills, lathes and/or gear-cutting machines as listed and required in the essential duties and responsibilities section.  This position will contribute to the success of the operations of TWG by performing the following duties personally as directed.


ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (functions):             TWG expects that all employees will work safely without injury maintaining the highest safety standards in compliance with Company safety policies.

1.       Installs tooling on numerically controlled equipment to machine parts to exacting tolerances for Company products

2.       Follows program instructions, diagrams for setting fixtures, outlining tooling & sequence of operations for setup

3.       Installs tooling and makes appropriate change over production runs

4.       Selects and loads appropriate part programs for machine runs

5.       Makes needed adjustments to equipment and programs

6.       Confers with concerned persons to obtain approvals for changes to part programs

7.       Ensures Company parts are formed to exacting tolerances

8.       Tends equipment loading and unloading parts to and from machine

9.       Maintains appropriate monitoring of operations to assure proper machine functioning to finish parts

10.    Checks parts periodically during operations to verify conformance to specifications using prescribed precision measuring devices

11.    May assist in maintaining and servicing of equipment as directed

12.    Able to set up and operate CNC vertical milling machines and / or horizontal machining centers

13.    Able to set up and operate CNC lathes

14.    Able to set up and operate gear cutting machines

15.    Must be able to read and interpret blueprints

16.    Checks parts to assure conformance to specification

High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
