Deloitte Consulting's Public Sector Transformation practice provides a wide spectrum of advisory consulting services to government clients and has an identified priority to support client in the Higher Education sector.The Higher Education sector current faces a range of challenges across Canada including reduced government funding, increasing student expectations as well as a range of challenges including technology, infrastructure and security.Our approach is to work collaboratively with our clients in the higher education sector to understand these forces, identify opportunities, and develop solutions across the student journey and administrative functions.The primary role of the Consultant is to advance the student experience and efficiency of the client institutions we serve, largely by collecting and analyzing data, identifying and framing strategic decisions, and designing and facilitating implementation and change processes. As a Consultant, you will:
• Work in a collaborative team executing rigorous and insightful analysis to support strategy development
and change for public sector clients
• Work collaboratively with client personnel, leveraging their resources and knowledge to achieve project
goals and complete deliverables
• Identify opportunities, author client deliverables and present findings at the senior client level
• Build strong relationships with client counterparts and key stakeholders at multiple levels
• Mentor, support, and supervise junior resources on parts of client engagements
• Design qualitative and quantitative research tools
• Understand the client’s market and constituent base using online and offline tools (industry reports,
annual reports, etc.) and synthesize findings
• Understand the client’s business operations through research and interviews
• Lead the creation of presentation and communication materials
• Embrace an increasing level of autonomy and responsibility
• Contribute to the development of proposals


External Posting Qualifications

• A strong academic record with MBA or comparable graduate degree strongly preferred
• Minimum 3 years of relevant work experience
• Strong background, experience, and expertise in the Higher Education and the public sector is an asset
• Prior consulting experience is highly preferred
• Proven analytical skills and problem solving skills
• Demonstrated leadership and a team player
• Excellent interpersonal relations and demonstrated ability to work with others effectively in teams
• Superior verbal and written communication skills
• Self-starter with the ability to develop and present new ideas and conceptualize new approaches and
solutions independently
• Willingness to take initiative and assume responsibility
• Ability to thrive in an environment of pressing deadlines and changing conditions Work Eligibility:
• Applicants must be legally eligible to work in Canada
• The ability to enter the USA and work on client assignments is an asset
• The ability to enter the EU and other developed countries is an asset
