As the technical expert, responsible for providing expert level, complex system administration, operational support, and application development for the PeopleSoft application system including complex application design and development, the management of system releases, scheduling of batch jobs, monitoring system performance, configuring workstations, monitoring the applications server, and performing routine backups, etc.  Serves as the top level technical expert in all phases of ERP PeopleSoft business systems analysis.



-Must have a Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Business Administration, or a related field.


-Must have eight years of experience utilizing PeopleSoft applications.

-Prefer additional coursework in Business Administration or Human Resources Management.

Equivalent Education and/or Experience:

 -May have an equivalent combination of education and/or experience in lieu of specific education and/or experience as stated above.



Skills or Special Abilities:

-Must be able to demonstrate an expert level understanding of the subject matter addressed by the PeopleSoft system such as compensation, payroll, benefits, recruiting, employee records, employee relations, etc.

-Must be highly organized and be able to multi-task in order to carry out system administration duties.

-Must have excellent customer service skills.

-Must have excellent time management and priority setting skills and be able to discern between those issues requiring immediate attention and those which have acceptable work around solutions.

-Must be able to examine existing operational processes, and recommend improvements to further enhance service to users.

-Must possess an expert understanding of the systems development life cycle methodology.

-Must have ability to develop methodology and procedural documents using conventional word processing products and charting tools.

Minimum Technical Requirements (Not Comprehensive):

-Must be trained in the PeopleSoft system sufficiently to carry out the duties of system administration.

-Must be proficient in a number of operating systems including UNIX, Windows, etc.

-Must have expert knowledge of PeopleSoft application architecture, 3 tier architecture, and Tuxedo.

-Must have an extensive expert level knowledge of relational database management systems.

-Must have extensive expert level knowledge with client-server technology and internet application architecture.

-Must have a consultant level knowledge of the PeopleSoft application system, the operating system and its command structure, tools and utilities in order to be able to perform system administration duties such as file backups/restores, setup batch jobs, etc.

-Must possess excellent skills with word processing and charting tools such as Microsoft Word, Excel, Visio, etc.

-Must be able to develop procedural and technical documentation in support of system administration tasks.

 -Must have developed procedural and technical documentation in support of similar system administration tasks.
