The purpose of this position is to manage all marketing leads for Univar’s US Focused Industry team, support the process to create new leads that will result in opportunities for sales and incremental revenue. The Marketing Specialist will handle leads from customers/prospects that come from email/web inquiries, phone calls, tradeshows, suppliers etc. He or she will enter the lead information into SalesForce.com, qualify the lead based on set criteria and then route to the appropriate personnel (e.g. inside sales or direct seller) for follow up. The specialist will be expected to communicate directly with the customer/prospect to find missing information or quickly resolve inquiries. They will also conduct cold calls to generate new leads so customer service or sales support experience will be important as well as excellent verbal and written skills. This position will run regular basic reports, establish metrics and track performance of campaigns to generate and nurture leads.

 

Overview:

 

  • Respond to lead related emails/reviewing lead contact forms and contact lead/customer to fill in missing data. Route marketing qualified leads to the appropriate sales contact
  • Make calls, lead generation & follow-up from specific marketing campaigns
  • Vet marketing qualified leads from marketing campaigns, website, suppliers etc. Find and add missing contact information add to SalesForce.com. 
  • Support marketing execution and management of campaigns via the marketing automation platform
  • Data analysis, creating reports and reporting metrics as required
  • Update marketing content on website as required
  • Track calls from lead tracking phone numbers used to promote our marketing campaigns/website and enter lead information in SalesForce.com

 

Requirements:

 

  • Bachelor’s degree is required
  • Data analysis, providing business reports, metrics a plus
  • Knowledge of SalesForce.com and Pardot systems preferred
  • Sales support or customer service experience a plus
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills required
  • Excellent analytical skills required
