Service School Instructor

PURPOSE: Coordinate and instruct Certification, Re-Certification, Power Wave, Engine Drive and Specialized training. Create, manage and deliver up-to-date product service training content for external customers. Create and coordinate workshop exercises, online and in-person presentations for the LE machine offering using logical step-through approach to troubleshooting and repair. Maintain class room and workshop (request, track and maintain school supplies, machines, equipment costs and physical inventory). Serve as Subject Matter Expert for technical documentation.

 

JOB DESCRIPTION (DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES):

  • Conduct technical service training / machine repair classes.
  • Create and update training content, including lab sheets and presentations, through hands-on work with machines
  • Utilizing collected feedback, special requests or general concerns from LASF students and LE sales
  • Work with R & D engineers & technicians, quality assurance, troubleshooting and manufacturing departments to ensure the best service content (specifically tests and repair procedures) is being presented.
  • Adhere to department billing/operating policies and procedures. Provide new cost saving or revenue generating avenues.
  • Coordinate Service Curriculum, safety policies and procedures templates globally

 

BASIC REQUIREMENTS:

  • Two year technical degree or B.S. in electronics or equivalent experience. Four year degree in technical field preferred.
  • Welding Certifications required in order to certify other welders.
  • Extensive troubleshooting knowledge of a wide range of the Lincoln Electric product line. Experience with teaching or instruction.
  • Proven electronic and mechanical background a must.
  • Must be safety focused and comfortable talking in front of groups of people.
  • Excellent verbal communications and classroom presentation skills.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office.
  • Experience with video editing tools, online training creation, and Arbor text Editor is a plus.
