Executive Assistant - Sr. Procurement Mgr

Basic Function

The Executive Assistant would be responsible for general administrative tasks for the team plus support of various tasks, take on small contract and pricing negotiations, participate in tandem or support of projects that buyers own and manage, communicate to DI Supply and other stakeholders on appropriate contract and sourcing decisions and project status, and other assigned projects.

Job Duties

Support team on tasks including:

  • PO creation/ follow-up
  • Contract database upload
  • Contract compliance monitoring
  • Consolidated purchasing forecast updates
  • Performance measure calculation/production, key market index tracking and publication
  • Miscellaneous spend and sourcing spreadsheets and other tasks as required.

General Knowledge, Skill and Ability

  • Procurement or Supply Chain knowledge.
  • Experience in SAP database entry, retrieval, and report preparation (preferred).
  • Successful experience of working within an administrative role, demonstrating a wide range of organizational skills.
  • Has effective working knowledge of Excel, Word, and Outlook; SAP a plus.
  • Possesses strong internet research skills in order to provide information on projects & reports.
  • Associate Degree in Business + 3 - 5 years of commensurate experience (minimum).
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business or greater (preferred).
  • Exhibits self-confidence and is a motivated, focused, and committed team member.
  • Projects a professional image.
  • Communicates effectively both verbally and in written correspondence.
  • Has the ability to develop strong working relationships.
