Program Coordinator I

Job Summary

The employee will assist in the organization and implementation of student and community programing including onboarding students, program scheduling and coordination, assisting in program development, and ensuring programs are run efficiently and professionally. The employee will assist the Assistant Director in administrative tasks involving numerous programs that serve multiple populations within the local community, the Research Institute and the Hospital.

Job Responsibilities

  1. Coordinate student selection and onboarding across programs
  2. Arrange student program logistics
  3. Oversee student internship database
  4. Coordinate CHOP community events
  5. Aid in CHOP Research diversity initiative
  6. Serve as liaison with outside community partners                                                                                                                                                                

Required Education and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree 
  • Minimum of two  -  three years experience in program coordination
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills
  • Able to work independently and interact with researchers, community members, and CHOP staff

Preferred Education, Experience & Cert/Lic

  • Masters degree
  • Experience with diverse student populations preferred

Additional Technical Requirements

  • Previous program coordination experience.  Successful performance in a high-intensity work environment.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PPT, Outlook)
  • Excellent problem identification and problem solving skills  
  • Attention to detail
  • Excellent organizational skills
  • Ability to balance multiple priorities
  • Excellent written and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to handle confidential matters and materials
