New York Life Ventures (NYL Ventures) is New York Life’s corporate venture capital arm.  NYL Ventures is focused on exploring and investing in frontier technologies, such as blockchain, artificial intelligence, etc., that create an impact for New York Life.  NYL Ventures is seeking an experienced professional to join its innovation team.  You will be part of a team that is responsible for new value creation and product delivery through the management of the Ventures’ design and innovation process for the validation, build, and execution of new growth opportunities. 

 

Role Responsibilities:

  • Assist with managing and tracking metrics and reporting for the Ventures’ idea portfolio
  • Assist in building a feedback loop to capture learnings and deploy across Ventures business units
  • Provide project tracking and management to in flight ideas in validation, development, and execution
  • Support the Team Lead and the R&D engineering team to help determine the best technical implementation methods as well as a reasonable implementation schedule
  • Support Team Lead with use case development
  • Assist in developing an understanding of different technologies / tech stacks and NYL businesses
  • Assist with the management of multiple workstreams, with competing priorities, in a changing environment

 

Role Requirements:

  • 2-4 years of experience in roles of increasing responsibility
  • Demonstrated interest in corporate innovation through formal training, internship or work experience
  • Strong Project Management skills and understanding of project management methodologies and tools
  • Passion for problem solving
  • Relationship management
  • Takes individual accountability seriously
  • Highly collaborative and pays close attention to detail
  • Highly-motivated self-starter with strong organizational skills
  • Strong communication skills (presentation, written, discussion)

This indicator is based on generally accepted accounting principles in the US (GAAP), with certain adjustments Company believes to be appropriate as a measurement approach (non GAAP), primarily the removal of gains or losses on investments and related adjustments.

 

2. Assets under management represent Consolidated Domestic and International insurance Company Statutory assets (cash and invested assets and separate account assets) and third party assets principally managed by New York Life Investment management Holdings LLC, a wholly owned subsidiary of New York Life Insurance Company.
