R&D NAND SR/Principal Wet Process Development Engineer

As a Senior or Principle R&D NAND Wet Process Development Engineer in the Technology Development Group at Micron, you will work in industry-leading semiconductor process technology related to new memory devices and technologies. In this position you will design and optimize Wet Processes applications for advanced Memory integration flows. You will take ideas from conception through process development and implementation of high density memory for commercial success. You will be working alongside Equipment Engineers, Process Development Engineers, and Process Integration Engineers to focus and accelerate development of next generation technology.  You will be responsible for the evaluation of new hardware platforms, performing fundamental research, chemistry development, and generation of intellectual property relevant to the company.  As a Senior or Principle Engineer, you will drive the Wet Process technology roadmap, partner with vendors to develop processes that meet device requirements for future technology nodes, and transfer processes to high volume manufacturing facilities.

  • Develop processes for etching, striping, and cleaning complex combinations of advanced materials
  • Design, optimize and characterize Wet Process applications needed for successful integration
  • Organize well designed experiments to understand the interaction between process and hardware parameters and use this knowledge to optimize for best performance
  • Develop and evaluate innovative solutions to improve etch, strip, and cleans with higher process margins
  • To work with various integration/structural impacts and constraints to enable functional device
  • To derive insightful inferences from the analysis of physical and electrical data and utilize the understanding to modify etch processes to meet the device requirements
  •  Development of new processes, including evaluation of new hardware platforms and process chemistries
  • Qualifying conversions and new processes, defining process margin
  • Transfer processes to pilot production and high volume manufacturing facilities
  • Perform fundamental research, chemistry development, and generation of intellectual property
  • Drive R&D Wet Process technology roadmap
