Equipment Mechanical Technician

Scope of Position (i.e. projects involved with and role within group):

• Candidate will have responsibility across a wide variety of semiconductor / MEMs processes, systems and facilities including thin film deposition, wet etching, photolithography, glass machining and glass forming.

• Candidate will work with the engineering team to qualify new equipment, modify equipment and processes, equipment qualification, and maintenance of equipment and support facilities.

• Candidate may be responsible for coordinating and executing experiments including equipment setup, change management, experiment tracking and data collection.

 

Day to Day Responsibilities:

• Maintain operational integrity of the equipment, systems and processes of a wide variety of MEMS and Semiconductor operations

• Monitor operations to characterize and quantify process capability and control

• Evaluate, diagnose, troubleshoot, and perform failure analysis on equipment, systems and processes of manufacturing operations

• Repair, modification, qualification and operational release of manufacturing systems.

 

Travel Requirements (please note if international):

Infrequent, potential of International Hours of work/work schedule/flex-time: 40+

 

Education and Experience (minimum required for consideration)

BS in technical field or related prior work experience Required Skills (These are skills that candidates MUST possess)

• Cleanroom experience, wet etch, deposition

• Fluids handling; wet and dry processes

• Thermal process handling and equipment maintenance

• Equipment modifications, build

 

Desired Skills (These are skills that would be nice for candidates to possess)

• Candidate will have responsibility across a wide variety of semiconductor / MEMs processes, systems and facilities including thin film deposition, wet etching, photolithography, glass machining and glass forming.

• Candidate will work with the engineering team to qualify new equipment, modify equipment and processes, equipment qualification, and maintenance of equipment and support facilities.

• Able to clearly commutate and coordinate with engineering and operational personnel

• MEMS and/or Semiconductor facilities construction, modification and maintenance experience

• Operator training and development capability

• Lean, Six Sigma, SPC, DOE

• Clean room protocols.

• Wet process and chemical safety certification and process protocols

• Fabrication of thin film structures or devices.

• Demonstrated small team/lab leadership experience.

• Design of Experiments and execution

 

Education and Experience (minimum required for consideration) BS in technical field or related prior work experience
