APPLICATION ANALYST-Radiation Oncology Systems

The Application Analyst will provide technological consultation and assistance to users of Clinical Ancillary Information Systems including, but not limited to, the following:

  • Analysis of user needs and requirements;
  • Application installation and testing;
  • Application problem resolution;
  • Writing user documentation;
  • Server maintenance
  • Management report creation.


General Description:

  • Interface between the departmental users/clients and the various divisions of MIS;
  • Provide day-to-day operational support and advanced application troubleshooting for Radiation Oncology Systems, Dental Systems, ICU Systems and other applications/solutions provided and or supported by the Ancillary Systems team;
  • Coordinate modifications and updates to the Radiation Oncology Systems, Dental Systems, ICU Systems and the other applications/systems provided and or supported by the Ancillary Systems team;
  • Recommend improvements and increase efficiency of these systems/applications.
  • Assist with coordination of vendor activities including hardware and software installation;
  • Test new systems, version upgrades, interfaces and other system modifications;
  • Provide pro-active monitoring of the applications/systems;
  • Maintaining accurate and current documentation regarding systems/applications.
  • Provide 24 x 7 on-call coverage for user support on a rotating basis;
  • Rotational commute/travel throughout all facilities within the Montefiore Medical Center hospitals and other Montefiore clients, as needed;



  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Health Informatics, or a related field. Experience will be considered in place of a degree
  • Prior clinical experience in Radiation Oncology, Dental or ICU areas will be considered.
  • Prior experience with any Radiation Oncology Systems is preferred. (Experience with Varian ARIA is a plus)
  • Prior experience with any Dental System is preferred. (Experience with QSI is a plus)
  • Prior experience with Medgate/Cority EHR applications
  • Prior experience with critical care / intensive care unit (ICU) applications
  • Familiarity with the workflow associated with said departments are a plus
  • Understanding of DICOM, DICOM RT, HL7, IHE and other health related standards is a plus
  • Strong technical skills (i.e. programming skills).
