Performs simple patient care activities under the director of the Operative Suite Staff, transporting patients, laboratory specimens, supplies and equipment to and from the Operative Suite area ensuring activities meet OR policies and procedures. Education/Experience: -Prefer High school graduate or equivalent -Prefer six months of previous experience in a patient care related area or be a graduate of a certified patient care program. Certification/Registration/Licensure: --Must have a current Heartsaver CPR course completion card within 90 days of hire and/or placement in job from one of the following: o American Heart Association o American Red Cross Rescuer o Military Training Network. Skills or Special Abilities: -Must be able to follow both oral and written instructions and write legibly. -Must understand basic sterile techniques. -Must be aware of industry cleaning supplies and appropriate use.
