The IT Services Manager is a leadership role that requires an individual with a strong technical background, as well as an ability to work with the IT organization and business management to align priorities and plans with key business objectives. The IT Services Manager is responsible for the design, implementation, operations, monitor and support of the company’s IT systems, including but not limited to; backup, recovery, patching, deployemnt and monitoring technologies to support hardware and software in the enterprise. This position is also responsible for developing IT standands and procedures, planning and justification of projects, and subsequently leading project implementation efforts. Documentation and presentation skills, analytical and critical thinking skills, and the ability to identify needs and take initiative are key requirements of this position.

• Coordinates and supervises activities and leads the IT Systems Team to meet core business goals and objectives.
• Collaborates and builds strong relationships with peer management in IT Infrastructure services and field based operations.
• Ensures compliance to organizational policies and standards through the regular reviews of evidence collection and data testing during scheduled procedures.
• Participates in departmental management budget development and monitoring for IT Infrastructure expense and capital cost control.
• Manages vendor and contract relationships pertaining to the IT Services, ensuring the company receives maximum benefit and value.
• Participates in continuous improvement activities and ensures company polices and procedures are followed.
• Participate in departmental leadership activitites, this includes hiring, training, staff development, performance management and annual performance reviews for the IT Services Team.
• Propose changes to existing policies and procedures to ensure operating efficiency and regulatory compliance.
• Gather, track and produce statistics to analyze and optimize capacity, performance and reliabiilty of IT Services platforms,
• Ensures the recoverability of IT Services in the event of disaster or discontinuation of technical services.
• Effectively communicates with management and executive C-level customers.
• Performs additional duties as required.

• Ten or more years of experience in a combination of network engineering, systems management, information technology and service support functions. At least four must be in a leadership role.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, interpersonal and collaborative skills, and the ability to communicate information technology concepts to technical and nontechnical audiences.
• Proven track record and experience in developing information technology policies and procedures.
• Knowledge and understanding of relevant legal and regulatory requirements, such as SOX.
• Bachleor Degree in Computer Science or a technology-related field.
• Experience with contract and vendor negotiations.
• High degree of initiative, dependability and ability to work with little supervision.
• Ability to work and prioritize well in a fast-paced, dynamic atmosphere, quickly tackling difficult issues with ease.
• Energy industry experience preferred.
• ITIL Foundation certified preferred.
• Knowledge of Critical Infrastructure control frameworks such as NIST 800-53 or similar preferred.
