NTT DATA Services currently seeks a Network Administrator to join our team in Arlington, Virginia (US-VA), United States (US).



This position requires up to 50% travel and must have active Secret clearance and pass DEA background check.


The Network Administrator responsibilities:

  • Work with teams to design, develop, install, test, debug, modify, and maintain databases on the LAN.
  • Design, install, modify and maintain LANs, VLANs, and WANS.
  • Conduct electronic surveys of existing work station and printer IP addresses that are currently being used at the client’s sites.
  • Correlate existing DHCP workstation, DHCP printer reservations, and Print Manager configurations with site assigned IP scopes.
  • Conduct survey of existing switch configuring and switch interconnectivity IE Fiber, Ethernet, transceivers, etc.
  • Review floor plans to include data drop plans.
  • Review “Castle Security” IP scope as needed. 
  • Review Secure network and/or other secure environment’s IP needs.
  • Create LAN-CONFIG scopes.
  • Create requests for new IP ranges prior to scheduling sites for upgrades.
  • Create, within the new LAN-CONFIG, a minimum of five VLANS or specifically based on size of the routers.
  • Install at least five DHCP scopes mirroring these VLANS to ensure they get created on the servers at the sites. At a minimum, the DHCP scopes can be created for network printers, network users and for Wi-Fi to name a few.
  • Enter each system/network, workstation and Printer IP system reservation in DHCP.
  • Troubleshoot issues in network operating system, software, and hardware that may arise during tech refresh activities.
  • Configure switches and routers according to best practices and client provided documentation/guidance.
  • Communicate with engineering staff as necessary and other team members within Unit to ensure equipment and site is configured and operational prior to departing site.
  • Actively participate with other tech refresh activities as they arise and participate in conference calls with stakeholders/management.
  • Support other job duties within government unit to include but not limited to: site relocations, new site installations, site expansions, site service support, Headquarters office support, etc.
  • Travel to U.S. domestic and foreign field offices to support network activities.

Required Qualifications:

  • Minimum 8 years’ experience required in Network Administration.
  • Industry specified certifications. 
  • BS/BA in CS, IS, Engineering, Business, or Technology or 2 years of experience for every 1 year of completed higher education.
  • The candidate with the required skills must also possess an Active Secret or Top Secret clearance
