General Summary

This position is an internship with the Fiber Cable R&D department.  This team develops and supports fiber optic cable globally for CommScope.  The team currently has several development projects underway and test lab activities in progress.  Potential intern duties and activities are listed below.

 

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Support Engineers with current or new product development
  • Support test lab with qualification testing
  • Work on test lab software to potentially allow standardization within CommScope
  • Support setup, trials and testing in new R&D area in our Catawba facitility.
  • Collect and analyze data and create reports

 

Requirements

  • High school diploma
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills
  • Possess the ability to be successful in a global, matrix organization
  • Work in a professional, agile manner – bringing new ideas and fresh perspectives.
  • Must be comfortable overseeing multiple projects from concept to completion and managing deadlines
  • Analytics and metrics
