Market Segment Manager

As Market Segment Manager for Crucial storage you will be an expert in our customers and the way we bring products to market. You will monitor market dynamics, competitive position, and performance to plan. You will work with the sales team to execute the business plan and present segment results to management.

In this position, you will develop and implement effective strategies to deliver segment growth. You will work closely with the Storage Business Unit to ensure the segment strategy is deployed through the CPG sales channels.


Responsibilities and Tasks

  • Work with sales to manage an opportunity pipeline to effectively forecast segment performance
  • Develop and maintain optimal assortment including SKU rationalization and new item introductions into the channel
  • Develop a clear plan for validation of new products at key customers and support launch plan and its execution
  • Review progress against plan to continuously assess market potential, making adjustments as necessary in order to assure optimal volume and profitability
  • Develop and implement effective strategies to deliver short and long term segment goals.
  • Gather and build competitive information that help the business provide the most appropriate products, pricing and services to meet the segment needs and create differentiation between Micron and its key competitors
  • Coordinates training of sales and partners


Education and Qualifications

  • Bachelor degree in a relevant field is required
  • 10+ years combined product marketing and sales in storage or tech-related field with experience in international markets through direct and indirect selling motions
  • Strong analytical and quantitative skills
  • High level of judgement when interpreting input from the market
  • Strong verbal and written communications skills and ability to support business unit executives with analysis and presentations
  • Strong skills in PowerPoint and excel



  • This position is available in Meridian, Idaho
  • Willingness to travel both domestically and internationally (approximately 20%)
