Electrical Engineer, Robotic Automation

PURPOSE: This individual shall participate in the design, development, maintenance, and troubleshooting of the Robotic automation system products.  The ideal candidate will have previous experience leading technical projects, is well organized, motivated, communicates well with others, and is comfortable working to established project timelines.

 

JOB DESCRIPTION (DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES):

  • Develops the total system architecture for a project.
  • On-going evaluation of systems for continual improvement and cost reduction.
  • Implement design changes and product enhancements
  • Test, maintain, and modify existing systems to ensure they meet customer need.
  • Interact with internal and external customers during the design process, as well as post sale support
  • Understand and ensure compliance with all relevant safety and quality standards
  • Oversee workflow and support internal and external resources to ensure timely delivery of project, expected quality, and allotted budget.
  • Provide customer support and machine diagnostics for new as well as legacy systems
  • Support quote team in proper estimation of projects for electrical and controls content.
  • Participate in risk assessment exercises and documentation
  • Other duties as assigned by manager

 

BASIC REQUIREMENTS:

  • BS degree in Electrical Engineering
  • 3-5 Years Experience
  • Proficient in utilizing CAD for electrical schematics and drafting.
  • Experience using MS office products
  • Experience or ability to quickly learn SAP required for role.
  • Proficient in industrial controllers, like PLC, HMI.
  • Ability to work with all levels in the organization and with external customers.
  • Willing to travel up to 10% of the time, sometimes on short notice.
  • The ideal candidate will have experience working with Fanuc robots.
